Hybrid Hippie is an alternative lifestyle brand that is legally incorporated in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Where are your products manufactured?

We currently work with multiple production units around the globe to manufacture and deliver high-quality products with sustainability at the center of every step. Our products and packaging are designed in Dubai, UAE – and, are manufactured by our partners across Vietnam, India, Nepal, China, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

Are Hybrid Hippie products vegan friendly?

Yes – 100%! At Hybrid Hippie, we love and care for all living beings – and do not endorse or use animal byproducts in any of our existing range of products.

What makes Hybrid Hippie products a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative?

Sustainable living at Hybrid Hippie does not end at just being eco-friendly and environmentally conscious – but, being and doing the best we can to ourselves as humans. We believe in sustainable practices across our supply chain – from sourcing of raw materials to the people who help us craft our products, and the shipping practice we adopt.

Does your packaging contain any plastic?

We are committed to make sure all of our product packaging is 100% plastic-free; while we strive to use minimal packaging across all of our range, most of our packaging is made using recycled materials and printed on with soy-based inks.

We may have to use cardboard shipping boxes when delivering larger products or orders; and, when we ship orders internationally to make sure you receive our products as they should be. There may be times when we have to opt for the standard bioplastic mailer bags provided by our logistics partners for deliveries within the UAE. This is something we are working on having replaced 100% on a priority basis within a few weeks.

Are all Hybrid Hippie products bio-degradable?

While many of our products are bio-degradable, we don’t want to see you throw them away. Products like our bamboo toothbrush, ear swabs and a few others can be easily added to your home compost.

Some of our products, made from Stainless Steel and Silicone, are naturally not bio-degradable – but, could break down in a couple of decades. We have built them to be tough, so you can continue using them safely for as long as possible – and, when the time comes, they can be easily recycled.

Why do you use Silicone for the Lids and Food Storage Bags?

The silicone that goes into making each one of our Lids and Food Storage bags are 100% BPA and plastic-free. The premium food grade silicone that is used is either FDA or LFGB certified, and are designed to be extremely versatile and durable.

Silicone, being made primarily by heating sand, is a safer choice for you and the planet. Its properties including heat and cold resistance makes it the perfect alternative to the single-use plastic cling films and zipper bags.

What type of stainless steel is used in your products?

We only use 18/8 Food Grade Stainless Steel to manufacture our range of stainless steel products.

Is bamboo really sustainable?

We knew you would ask us this!
The answer is Yes. The species of bamboo that goes into our products is called Moso Bamboo. Bamboo, in general, is one of the fastest growing natural resources on Earth – and, is almost fully grown within an average of 3-4 months. Growing and harvesting bamboo also does not require using pesticides or other harmful chemicals.

The natural anti-microbial properties make it an excellent material for certain products. Finally – before you ask, Pandas do not rely on this specific species of bamboo due to its height.

Are your products safe for use?

Absolutely! All of our products undergo strict quality assurance tests prior to being shipped to UAE.

What do I do if I receive a faulty product?

We have always got your back! In case you have received a faulty product, drop us an email on customercare@hybrid-hippie.com with details, and we will be more than happy to resolve this for you.

What courier do you use for deliveries?

We use DHL, FedEx, AHOY and Aramex for deliveries.
Local deliveries are often fulfilled by AHOY, FedEx and Aramex, while all of our worldwide shipping is usually handled by DHL.

How long does it take for my order to be delivered?

We know the wait can be hard, so we do our best to have your order delivered to you at the soonest possible.

For deliveries within United Arab Emirates: Standard delivery is done in 1 Business Day; while we also offer same-day shipping as a premium add-on.
For deliveries within GCC: 2-5 Business Days
For deliveries to the Rest of the World: 4-8 Business Days

I placed an order on Friday for delivery, why did I not get it until Monday?

Our cut off time is 3pm GST, Saturday to Thursday. Any orders placed after 3pm will be processed through our dispatch system on the next working day. We currently do not deliver on weekends.

Do you provide free delivery?

Yes, we offer free delivery within UAE, GCC and Worldwide. To qualify for free shipping, your total cart value must meet or exceed the minimum spend. Visit our Shipping & Delivery page to learn more about our free shipping.

I haven’t received a shipment confirmation email. What should I do?

An automated email is sent to you to the registered email address when your order is dispatched from our warehouse. Please check your spam folder. To ensure that our emails reach you, add the domain hybrid-hippie.com to your safe senders list.

Can I collect my order from a physical location?

Unfortunately, no – however, we are working towards making this possible for our customers in the UAE soon.

Can I track my item?

Yes. You will receive a shipment confirmation email as soon as your order has been processed. This email will also contain your tracking number. We also ask for a mobile number so our courier can inform you of the status of your order.

For orders placed after 3pm GST on Thursday, your order may not be trackable until it has been collected from us the following Saturday.

Can someone else sign for my delivery?

Yes, it does not have to be the addressee. The signature is electronically logged for security reasons. Any signature at the address will be accepted as proof of delivery.

Do you deliver to a P.O. Box address?

No. All of our couriers require a street address to deliver your purchase.

Do I have to pay any local customs or import charges if I live outside of the UAE?

Customs and import duties are charged once the parcel reaches its destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the package. Unfortunately, we have no control over these charges, and cannot tell you what the cost might be, as customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country. It might be a good idea to contact your local customs office for current charges before you order, so you are not surprised by charges you were not expecting.

The customer must take full liability for any parcels returned to us due to unpaid customs charges. Postal charges, return shipment costs, customs charges and handling fees will all be deductible from any refund due.

The customs department of my country has requested for further information about the products. What should I do?

Each country has its own unique import policies, which are subject to change. If you have an order held in customs, please contact our customer service team with your order number and tracking number, via email. We will do our best to help resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

Is it safe to pay for my order online?

Yes, we use industry standard SSL encryption to protect your personal details on our website. Any online payments are processed by our PCI DSS certified payment partners. Potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and card details are encoded so they can only be read on our payment partner’s secure server. This information is authenticated to ensure it only gets sent to this secure server and is checked to make sure it has not been tampered with during transfer.

Security checks are also made on all transactions, to ensure the authenticity of each card payment.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We currently accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Debit and Credit Cards including – Mastercard, Visa and American Express.

Cash on Delivery is available exclusively for customers in the UAE presently, and may be subject to a surcharge of AED 10.

How do I apply a promo code?

You can add a valid promotion code in the Cart or on the Checkout page.

Can I use a different payment method?

Yes. You can use PayPal to pay for goods. We do not accept cheque or store cards.

When will my card be charged for my order?

Due to the nature of our payments system, the full cost of the order will be charged to the card as soon as it is placed.

Do your prices include VAT?

All our prices displayed in UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman are inclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT).

Is VAT applicable to orders placed from outside UAE and GCC Countries?

The pricing displayed, in USD, GBP and Euro, for international orders are exempt from VAT.

Where is my order?

Our deliveries are usually done via DHL, FedEx or Aramex. We will send you an automated email with the tracking number of your order as soon as your order has been processed. You can also find the tracking number of your order in the My Account page.

How can I get help with an issue I'm facing?

We are all humans here – so, if you think we have made a mistake with your order, reach out to us via the Contact Us page. We would love to hear from you, and potentially resolve the situation in the best possible way.

Is it possible to change the address or amend my order?

Due to the high volume of orders we receive, we have an automatic invoicing system. For any changes to your order, please contact us immediately after placing the order. We can attempt to amend your order with our dispatch team, if it has not left our warehouse yet.

Can I have an update on my order status?

You can get an update on your order status by visiting the Track My Order page or sign in to view order details under My Account.

I have a new email address, and I am unable to reset my password. How do I change my password?

We are able to update the email address for you, provided you are able to answer some security questions. We take data privacy very seriously and need to verify who you are. Please contact us on myaccount@hybrid-hippie.com

After your email address is validated and changed, you can request a new password online.

Do you offer Returns?

Subject to meeting the conditions set out in our Returns Policy, we offer a no-hassle returns policy which allows you to return delivered items to us for any reason up to 30 days from the delivery of your order.

How can I initiate a Return request?

To initiate a return, please send us an email on returns@hybrid-hippie.com with details of the product you want to return along with the order confirmation number. Once we have reviewed and approved your return request, you can choose to either send the product(s) to our warehouse located in Dubai, or we can arrange to have it picked up from you at an additional cost of AED 25 if you live in the United Arab Emirates.

For GCC & International returns, you would be required to send the product(s) to our warehouse in Dubai once you have a pre-approval from our team.

What do I do if I have received a damaged item?

At Hybrid Hippie, we strive to deliver high quality products in the condition they should be in – however we know that sometimes things can go wrong and you may need to return a faulty or damaged item.

In case the product you have received is faulty or damaged, you may be eligible for a free return and full refund including original delivery charges. Please email us on returns@hybrid-hippie.com with details of the order along with pictures of the damage.

Can you confirm you have received my return?

We aim to process returns within 1-3 business days of receiving them. You will be notified by email once the return is complete. We strongly recommend that you make a note of the shipping reference provided when you send the item back to us. This will allow you to track your parcel at every stage of delivery, including when we receive it.

How long will it be before I get a refund?

Once we receive your item(s) back, our returns department will inspect and restock the goods. Once our returns department have done this, an automated refund is generated on our system. Your outstanding refund is then processed by our accounts department back to your original payment method.

For prepaid orders, refunds will be made to the Debit or Credit card used for the purchase. Orders funded by Cash on Delivery (COD) will be eligible to receive refunds as Hybrid Hippie Credit which can be used for future purchases on the store.

When returning your products please remember to include your original invoice, to avoid any potential delays.

Who pays for return postage?

If you are returning an unsuitable item for a refund, you would need to send the item to our warehouse in Dubai using a tracked shipping method. We will refund the cost of the item only and not the original delivery cost.

Should you be returning a damaged or faulty item for a refund we will refund the cost of the item and shipping costs –  including the original shipping costs and the return shipping costs.

All items must be returned unused and in the original packaging for a refund to be processed. If items are not received in their original packaging, but are unused, your return may be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Why have you not refunded the original delivery charge?

If you are returning an unsuitable item for a refund we will refund the cost of the item only and not the original delivery cost. Should you be returning a faulty item for a refund we will refund both the original shipping costs and the return delivery costs.
